Blue and White Vibrant Vinyl Tote Bag

In preparation for the Namta/Creativation show in New Orleans, I designed several vinyl pieces to show the versatility of this new product.

I love the feel of this vinyl and the ease of cutting and sewing it. I used a rotary cutter, cutting mat and acrylic ruler just as I do for quilting fabrics and cork fabrics. I easily cut it with a pair of sewing scissors as well.

The blue and white tote bags are actually the same bag with one side reversed in design. I used basting spray to temporarily hold the random shapes to the vinyl strip and then sewed them in place with vertical quilting lines. This tote bag is fully lined.

This bag and others will be on display at the H+H show in Chicago. I’ll also be posting the pattern shortly.

Enjoy!
